In 2007, Don Lombardi, owner of Lombardi & Son Masonry, designed and patented the Lombardi Lift: Versatile Work Platform (lombardilift.com). The Lombardi lift will revolutionize how the industry accesses difficult and non-traditional works areas by providing greater flexibility, increased safety, and simple operation. A prototype is under development and will be completed by the end of 2013. In addition to improving the masonry restoration and repair business practices of Lombardi & Son Masonry, it is expected that a wide range of industries and trades that utilize aerial lift work platforms will benefit from the Lombardi Lift.
